Strips work on meters post 2010 per amazon reviews section. I'm betting they worked for your wife? & I bet it is just a legal issue with J&J that they have to put that on the box. They may even not be able to issue a statement saying that they would work on newer meters because of legal reasons. Oh well, this is America (& maybe Europe soon too?) so most will buy because they are cheaper, use them, then maybe read the box and say, "Well that didnt seem to matter!" eh, who am I kidding. I said this is America, hardly anyone will read the fine print on the box! Lol
