BHS> My guess is Greenspan is considering

retiring, before he gets the trap door, and this sudden hospital trip sure gives him a last chance exit, the doctor may give him a chance to say no mas while the market is trending up. If he is smart he'll get off like Summers and Rubin did. He can still be considered a demi-god for the alltime high, and 9/11 collapse avoidance.

Let the market crash on the new guy.
