Please post a link to prove that companies other than ERHC don't talk with the locals before they begin work. Do you really think they were flying low flying aircraft over their blocks without talking to the locals? And do you think they started drilling without talking to the locals? How do you think they hired 800 locals without talking to them? Talking to the locals in the norm EVERYWHERE in the world, so ERHC is doing what everyone else does. Nothing extraordinary. Also, there are ALWAYS provisions in the PSCs on local content. Anyone who has ever seen a PSC from anywhere knows that.

People who ignore the security concerns in Kenya or in any country are doing so at their own risk. And talking to the locals is a part of that.
