For the same reason they warred with Hindus for so many years.
They are a religion of conquest and intolerance.
Trying to say we are to blame is pointless when you look at islam's track record of hatred and intolerance.
Yes in a slight way we screwed usama over in afghanistan but we did alot more to help him.

Yes we supported Iraq during the Iraq Iran war...
But we supported it to a tie.
