That sounds like a prudent approach. But, I don't know how one could exercise caution whilst one is accumulating shares?

It's not like this is a $40 stock where stop limit orders could be placed effectively.

If for some reason the PPS tanks, IMO there won't be much anybody can do.

I too would like to consider myself "cautiously optimistic". However, I don't know how I can exercise caution other than by limiting my exposure in this particular stock vs my overall holdings.
