Agree, good idea to allow a time cushion to achieve something like this. I work for a publicly traded co. in accounting and my co. has been involved in many acquisitions, though that has slowed somewhat in the last couple of years. But sometimes a wrinkle of some sort has to be ironed out to complete the deal, so it's wise to always allow for a little extra time.
