Thanks... I was worried for a second before I realized that the assignee was UMass which has ties to Amarantus. If I'm reading the patent app correctly, it would seem that many of the claims go on to examine the use of MANF for treatment of beta-cell disorders (and not just the analysis of biomarkers in diagnostic tests). Very exciting!
