edit-deflation AND inflation in pockets..there is no general inflation unless you factor in insurance costs, education and health care and real estate (dampened somewhat now). As far as pricing power goes..zippo so far (prices when raised are because folks are unable to make profit margins despite all the cost cutting..nothing to do with underlying demand). Inflation may be in the stock market, but then that is not new. The 1982 low was a lower low than the 1974 low in terms of inflation etc although numerically it was higher.
