I disagree. It would be easier to get permits to open a uranium mine right now in this country. Bush knows nuclear energy is his best option--if we run out of uranium, the lights go out. Are you aware of the supply shortage in uranium? China and India are building about 30 nuclear power plants over the next 10 years. Where is the supply going to come from? No new mines have been opened because the price was depressed for so long.
Uranium is more abundant in the earth than gold--easier to find.
