UnD, it is my guess that the MobileMark tests were done with notebooks from different classes. It's just my speculation, but I think Centrino was benchmarked against other Thin&Light notebooks with lower power and slower components compared to the full sized notebooks being compared in your second link. We all know that notebooks vary in performance greatly, but it's a tradeoff when trying to squeeze a high powered processor like Pentium 4 into smaller and lower power designs. Thus, Centrino should be compared with notebooks of similar size. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think there is any Marketechture going on here.
