It's not going away. The content of that square right now doesn't matter. What matters is everyone accept the column arrangement. I bet the related discussion thing is just a placeholder. Maybe admin will scan your post history, and put a list of your most used boards that only YOU see. Or even better, a duplicate top ten promoted stock board like off the front page. Won't that be convenient.
