IHUB is a social media site, one of the original ones in a way.
It's not a financial news portal (even though it has that side capability). It's mostly a social media community.
The hostility shouldn't come as any surprise. If you cut Facebook or Twitter's communication view by 67%, you'd have the same riots.
I appreciate advfn's desire to monetize the site better, but like any media company, they need to find an acceptable balance between commercials and content. Ads are more tolerable one a one-way non-social-media device such as a financial news portal or a newspaper. They are not acceptable filling up an area once reserved for the user experience.
