It's really quite unclear what the mechanism of the thrombosis is. Indeed a few days ago there was an article in response to one that said that Iclusig in theory might cause bleeding (based on some preclinical experiment with platelets) saying that no bleeding had been seen in practice.

I have a hunch it might be the FGFR activity that is the issue - the various FGFR kinases seem to be involved with circulation in various ways. jq1234 had suggested the VEGFR impact might be the culprit.

Tasigna (but not Gleevec or Sprycel) might have similar issues to Iclusig that are only now slowly emerging. Maybe that's a clue.
