I don't see any merit to your thought honestly. I can tell you the company itself hasn't been involved with any promoters whatsoever. They have been fairly quiet in their communications for some time now.

It appears as though the company is just finally now beginning to be pro-active in their corporate communications again on the heal of their recent re-statement. There's also been a couple of good Seeking Alpha articles as of late which I'm sure you saw.

They are also launching their new offering at the Money 2020 show in Vegas this week.

I think the recent acquisition of Braintree by eBay for $800M has caused more investors to become aware of other company's in the space, like Spindle, that too might be worth watching and considering investing in.
