1st cut at a tracking portfolio for Hidden Gems board:
A few explanations...
1) I went with a $1000 initial purchase for each stock listed and rounded down for the number of shares that would have been purchased at the opening price the next trading day after the prediction was made. Commissions are not factored in.
2) I am using Yahoo's portfolio tracker to keep these stats. The only solution I have thought of at the moment is to periodically cut and paste the portfolio results to this board. Any suggestions as to a better way to present this information are very welcome.
3) So far I've only entered the first 11 picks (from msg #1 on this board) into the portfolio. After we fine tune how the portfolio should look and make any other improvements, I'll add all of the other stocks that have been suggested on this board into the portfolio.
4) Take a look at the fields I included, their order, etc... and feel free to make any constructive suggestions on how it might be changed for the better.
5) I will experiment and see if I can find a way to get the data columns to line up better than they do in the below 1st attempt at presenting the portfolio data. As always, suggestions are welcome.
6) The "#1" in the notes section refers to msg #1 on this board. The Notes section will thus contain a link to which post contains the prediction for that line in the portfolio.
7) Dubi's 1st 11 picks are doing well, cumulatively they are up 23% since he made his predictions!
