Not sure that's the whole truth. All of the companies have the same technology available to them when it comes to video compression and internet speed. Netflix & Sony are not going into 4K streaming yet because the quality is just not there. (The file sizes of true 4K are just too big to stream at a high quality) Compressing the 4K down to a manageable size for streaming will introduce noticeable distortion to the picture. Sony is choosing to have their movies available for "download" at very high quality rather than compressing them. New compression technology will be coming out soon that may take care of the quality issues and hopefully the internet providers will give everyone more bandwidth without charging through the nose.

Nuvola needs to come out ASAP. Being the first "streaming box" on the market will be good whether the quality is perfect or not. It puts them in the ranks of the the big boys immediately.
