developer of Patented Technology for a Forced Induction Internal Combustion Motor
In re CET Racing, LC (Bankr. M.D. Fla.) Case no. 09-02434
In re CET Diesel, LLC (Bankr. M.D. Fla.) Case no. 09-02439

CET Racing, LC (“Racing”) and CET Diesel, LLC (“Diesel”) recently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Racing has its principal place of business in Jacksonville, Florida, and was formed to market, develop, and exploit certain rights in a patented forced induction internal combustion motor. Diesel was formed to market, develop and exploit certain rights granted to them for use of the patent and other related technology. The patented technology purportedly causes a motor to cool more as the motor runs longer and faster and, purportedly, there is no need for a radiator, fan or catalytic conveyer in an engine that uses the patented technology. Potential applications of the patented technology include over the road diesel engines, marine diesel and gasoline engines, and high performance racing engines. The Debtors’ personal property includes: US Patent 6,282,898 (forced induction internal combustion engines) and a license to the patent between Engineering International Technologies, LLC and CET Racing, LC; a 2007 Porsche Spyder valued at 1.75 million; three Kenworth Semi trucks and three custom made trailers with an unknown value; Foutain power boat valued at $400,000; and machinery, fixtures and equipment with an unknown value. The Debtors list no income. The Debtors have filed a motion with the Court to sell depreciable assets which are not essential to the Debtors’ reorganization. These assets include: a 2007 Porsche Spyder; marine engines; compressor; race uniforms; tire rims; headsets; radios; wielders; pneumatic lifts; pit carts; super chargers; and other related items. www4.gtlaw.com/marketing/BRB/BRB_DistressedAssets/0520/PrinterFriendly.htm
