It is possible to have your cake and eat it as it were. The Swedish competitor seems to plan to do that in Iraq. It is going to sell its processors to a joint venture that will pay several times what it COSTs to produce the processors. Thereby it will receive cash that it can spend to own processors 100 % in other countries and nevertheless get half of the profit that the joint venture will generate. Perhaps that migh be an idea for JBII as well?
