I've done some background and he seems to be a smaller operation but has some good ties to major money players.
Also seems to associate himself with as solid of companies as one can find on the OTC. And the companies he has been associated with the longest tend to have lower SS and don't seem to dilute like crazy.
I'm not sure about the website stuff but in reality it seems his business is word of mouth which to me means a lot in this day and age as only the scam artists need to be chasing ambulances so to say.
Gmail? Hell I have a gmail account and a google+ account and see more and more of my circle of colleagues using them everyday. Not sure if you meant that as being an issue.
