Cynicism about your president? This has been the foreign policy for years and years, a pretext by using human rights and democracy building to overthrow a sovereign gov't in order to enable the US to control resources or energy routes.

Sorry the chem weapons concern doesn't ring true when the US supplied many of these weapons to Sadaam and the US sat quietly as he gassed both the Kurds and Iranians......but that was okay because the chem wespons were being used against our enemies.

By the way, we could help Haiti and others a lot more if we diverted bombing funds from Syria to those in need around the world.
