It is much more believable to say there are negative interests attempting to suppress VRNG stock. This could be a hedge fund supported by a subsidiary or a related entity with direct (or indirect) ties to GOOG.

We've seen big companies do this before and it's definitely not outside of the realm of possibility. In fact, I would be surprised if GOOG somehow didn't have some sort of related unethical (but probably not illegal) involvement.

Of course, this is very, very, very, very different then saying the judge has been bribed or illegally influenced by some power.
