Re Dereleviate. Nazis, commies and Libertarians.
>"So far I have been equated with Nazis and communists. I have to say that you have no substance to these claims."<
Actually so far I have equated you with niether the nazi nor the communist party. On the other hand what I have done is to express an opinion that the very fundamental agenda of your party is a redistribution of the wealth. The difference is that the nazi party wanted to redistribute from a minority that controlled the majority of the wealth your party would redistribute from a minority that controls a minor portion of the wealth. If you cannot see the parallels, and choose to interpret that as me calling you a nazi, hey it's still a free country. <G> Personally I think you are laid back, kewl human. I just don't happen to agree with your political agenda.
>"Also, many of the proponents of eliminating the social programs are former minorities who have been part of this system and see that it is not good for their people. It neither helps to better their situation nor gains them any respect with the society that has to pay the bill."<
Yeah well I have a brother who is mentally disabled,(guess it runs in the family. lol), as without his medicare, medicaid and social security benifits he would be in dire straights. So I see how the social system currently in place touches his and many of his peers lives real up close and personal.
I know that there are abuses in social programs but if we can afford 700 dollar toilet seats, tax cuts, and 100's of billions of dollars to fight a fwod, while still maintaining a a budget surplus, what's the freaking problem with helping the poor?
>"Feeding poor and starving peoples extends their suffering since just one generation of poverty and malnutrition can affect the genes and limit the mental capacity of the offspring and their progeny for generations if not permanently."<
Maybe we should just concentrate on feeding the blond haired blue eyed ones. I read somewhere once that they had the best genes. Damn I hope this wouldn't exclude red headed step children.<G>
>"Somalia may have seemed like compassion but it was truly cruelty, not just for the people there but also for the world that will either perpetually care for them or have increased their burden by allowing people a brief period of comfort followed by a subsistence with no means of sustenance and no possibility of self reliance. Of course there are many more examples of our "kindness" to others."<
Maybe we should teach them how to grow and sell pot. Give a man a joint and you only increase his comfort level for a few hours, teach a man to grow and sell pot and he can increse his comfort level for a lifetime. Uhh, but be sure to tell him that the risk is equal to the reward.
So whats your position on the american pharmaseutical companies suing the european pharaseutical manufactures for providing aids medication to the poor African countries where aids is at epidemic levels?
