I normally rely on daily and 60 min charts for judging intermediate term trends, and use both individual charts for the important stocks and both index and ETF charts like the Q's and SMH. When looking at the charts I keep in mind what I have been seeing on the "tape".

Lately, for reasons I have explained, I have reversed the importance I attach to the two and am paying a good deal more attention to what I am seeing on the tape than to the charts and that change has so far served me well.
