Funny you should mention this...

I just got off the phone with my mother. I asked her how much she'd heard about N. Korea lately... the answer... not much.

I put forth the idea that perhaps they were looking at our no nonsense approach to Iraq and how quickly Hussein's regime fell. Maybe they realize it is better to negotiate in good faith with us.

With any luck, the rest of the world's petty potentates will walk away from this conflict with that lesson learned.
