i kind of got the same tone, peg. kerry came off as a calm, firm statesman that seemed to speak from personal conviction, it is a shame he didn't take Bush II out, he sounded almost presidential. he is just in a position of being an effective person selling a used car that most people don't want to buy (69% of americans against bombing syria in today's cnn poll). i just hope he doesn't get Colin Powell'd over it with the passage of time.
