Radiation spikes to lethal levels at Japan's Fukushima nuclear plant

TEPCO, said the high readings were discovered at four new locations on Saturday. One of the readings reached 1,800 millisieverts per hour, which is considered enough to kill an exposed person in four hours

and so typical of how things have been handled since day one, from another article about the same new disclosures
http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/world/2013/09/01/radiation-fukushima-nuclear/2753563/

TEPCO had originally said the radiation emitted by the leaking water was around 100 millisieverts an hour. However, the company said the equipment used to make that recording could read only measurements of up to 100 millisieverts.

That must be the absolute height of incompetence. Workers that don't even recognize when their instrument is meter-pegged. Makes one feel certain those instruments are periodically well calibrated !

In addition, the Tokyo Electric Power Co. (TEPCO) says it has discovered a leak on another pipe emitting radiation levels of 230 millisieverts an hour.

Stprage capacity is very strained, at over 80% in use, and it is reported that there is a shortage and inability to deliver more storage tanks in a timely fashion . . . and as far as I have seen stated, these are temporary tanks made of plastic such as polypropylene (which I imagine radiation degrade every bit as easily as does the Arizona sun)
