5 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:
6 And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.
This prophecy was to be fulfilled by Israel - Jesus would go to the lost sheep of
The house of Israel and from them would be selected the designated number
That would become a holy nation and kingdom of priests that would be taken to
Heaven to rule as kings and priests with him for 1000 years as revelation tells about -
Note this was conditional - if you obey my voice and keep my commandments -
The nation failed to do this and in fact the promised Messiah sent by God Almighty
Put to a horrible death - therefore Jesus prophesied the following regarding the nation -

Jesus abolished the old law covenant with fleshly Israel and casting them off as God's chosen nation -
Replacing it with the new covenant with a new chosen nation referred to in Galatians 6:16 -

From Pentecost onward fleshly Israel was replaced by spiritual Israel - "the Israel of God"-
Born again Christians with the hope of being resurrected to heaven and ruling as kings and priests with Christ
For 1000 years bringing the earth and humankind to perfection once again -
All the restoration prophecies in the O T now would be fulfilled by this new nation of dedicated Christians in the new covenant - spiritual Israelites - Paul and others refer to -
