I've posted the technical advantages of 64-bits that I see
in engineering work. I also post anecdotal evidence.

Because it is a particular area in the Apple world that a lot of
people care about. If you studied the Apple world, you'd know
that.

I see no indication that that's going to happen. Do you have
any technical, benchmarking or other hard evidence that tells
you that's the case? I think that the last hard benchmark that I've seen compared the quad-core PowerMac G5 to a quad-core
Opteron Unit "desktop PC" and the Opteron was a little bit
better in most areas.

Will Core Duo beat a quad-core Opteron system? How about with 16 GB of memory?
