Founded in 1991, Commtouch Software has been a leading vendor of email technology, messaging applications, and comprehensive messaging platforms to enterprises, portals, large ISP and Telco organizations. In 1996 the company entered the hosted messaging market, delivering a highly scalable service to over 35 million mailboxes worldwide. Commtouch Software also offers anti-spam solution that filters messages at the customer organization's entry point, before being distributed to recipients, while maintaining enterprises privacy. The company's products are primarily based on recurrent pattern detection technology, which analyzes messages associated with mass email outbreaks and directs the blocking of such emails, without the need to analyze individual messages.
Commtouch also provides solutions for integration with security, content filtering, anti-virus, and other filtering solutions through alliances and strategic partnerships. In addition, it offers a software development kit that enables third-party vendors to integrate its anti-spam solution into their existing offerings, providing them with spam identification and spam classification services. The company offers its secure messaging solutions to small, medium, and large enterprises through resellers and original equipment manufacturers in Israel, the United States, and internationally.
