Payout because lawyers wanted to get a payday, probably instigated by those who want to kill the company.

The net result is that the suit didn't kill the company and the shareholders get a little payout. The lawyers get fees.

Bordynuik got bad advice and followed it. The cost to the company has been high for that mistake. This settlement is the last of the fallout from that mistake.
