i think it is commendable that Sanjay "Ganja" Gupta came clean and actually reported the science instead of the paranoid hype.
His candidness is incredible.. too bad he didn't accept the job of surgeon general when obama inquired him about the job.
He is pretty much sticking on the medicinal aspect, but that is his beat. The medicinal uses have been known for millenia, it took the U.S. Government and William Randolph Hearst to demonize it.
Sanjay concentrates on the CBD compounds and not THC, which is as it should be to an objective scientist interested in the analgesic effects.
He may help turn the tide of sentiment, but it is more like following the tide... in the past couple years, for the first time ever, a majority of americans are in favor of legalizing it by a clear margin.
