if you had drawn the $vxn red lines back on feb 1 the upper red line would be just low enough that by mid-feb we'd be talking about the "breakout" above the wedge followed two days later by talking about the downside implications of the failure of the breakout. that would also put the march peak as a second failed breakout.

looks to me like volatility is fade-fade-fading....
