lol I'm a nuclear engineer I have read more than a "few" articles on energy generation... The thermal efficiency of geothermal is 10-23% (pretty low).
Not to say there isn't potential as there are not as many regulations when compared to nuclear.
The good thing is like nuclear it has a constant power generation and doesn't peak like solar/wind. So it can be used as a sole source rather than a supplement like wind/solar
