Trend, regardless of what many may want you to think, with study and prayer, ANYONE can understand God's Word. Luther made that clear centuries ago when the Catholic church rigorously claimed that only the Priesthood could understand the bible. God did not cause the bible to be written for just the Priesthood, the Levites, the Pharisees, our current church "leadership". The bible is for all men and too much is made of the jits and jottles instead of intent, application, and obeience. Deuteronomy 4:2 best summarizes this when the Lord told Israel, "Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the Lord your God that I give you." Interpretation is not our problem. Obedience is our problem.
