You are mistaken with these comments:

The banking mess was not caused by Fannie and Freddy but by the other 18 major banks who conducted themselves in unethical ways out of greed to try to manipulate the banking and housing markets to their benefits. That is why there are 18 multi-billion dollar lawsuits against these major banks on behalf of FnF. Goldman Sachs leads that pact by selling worthless subprime mortgages while at the same time promoting them and secretly hedging their bets against them. The buyers and recipients of these deals where FnF and the people who got stuck with bad mortgage deals.

Fnf Did not create the mess they just inherited and insured it blindly. So blaming FnF on this is an ignorant statement to make. You need to do your diligence and revue the government investigative committee led by members of congress like Carl Levin to get the answers you badly need.
