are you saying BW found a way to live off of investor money over 10 years ago?

10 years ago I believe he was running his construction business, Brian Weber & Associates Construction, (Daisy worked there, too), so I presume that was how he supported himself.

I don't know how much success he had trying to sell shares in his race team, but the race team did not make any starts the following year, so I guess it wasn't all that successful.
