I have had the pleasure of helping Mr. Chang, my next door neighbor for the past two hours, K2. Mr. Chang saw the advertisement that some mortgage company ran on TV and wanted me to help him refinance at a lower rate. It seems that those ads on TV are so much baloney, and the nice man said that his rates were nearly a half percent higher than the rate quoted on the TV ad. Of course, with points and closing costs, Mr. Chang would not be saving any money, so I advised him not do renegotiate his mortgage right now. Then, he decided that he would like me to call the Dish Network and schedule installation of a satellite. While we were doing this, Mrs. Chang, who speaks not a single word of english, hovered over Doris and me and kept bringing out one dish after another. Mrs. Chang was a chef in China, and her cooking is to kill for, so I am now stuffed to the gills. There was no way I could convince her that we weren't hungry as we had just eaten lunch before we went there.
The Changs' problems are solved for the present. I am back.
