It is turning into a defense treaty. The world does not like a vacuum and with the US as the sole super power then other nations may want to join forces. Russia, China, and India would be formidable foes for our forces and can certainly match our nuclear strength and boots on the ground. However, our technology can out gun them in any conventional war so far.
