If we really wanted to hurt the middle eastern types, Larry, we would get serious about gas mileage in this country. We waste a huge amount of the oil we import. In the early 1970's we imported a lower percentage of the oil we use than we do now, so we learned nothing from that oil shock. Conservation is the answer. Drilling for more just postpones the inevitable. Not to say I am opposed to more wells being drilled. I am not. I just think we should start planning for a future with a whole lot less gasoline. Heck, we should have planned for it 30 years ago.
