Nice rain filled air tonight in the deserts

Yes, it looks like the rains have arrived for a time to the deserts.
I watch Liberty Star something as a curiosity, because of its efforts to revive the Tombstone mining camp (keeping an eye on what exploration juniors are active in AZ is sort of a sideline for me) and its holding in Alaska by Northern Dynasty's main property.
They just PR'd the following

This is now monsoon season in southeast Arizona, and the survey craft was not flown during periods of turbulent air due to heat and thunderstorms. Flights started at daybreak and were scheduled to terminate either at dusk or when turbulence was encountered. . . . The Cochise County area has received record amounts of rainfall during the last 10 days, and in particular the last week. As an example, the village of Palominas, only a few miles from the survey’s SW edge, where 5.5 inches fell in an hour, was devastated and has been cut off from road access.

It is rather amazing how the ocean manages to keep such relative stability despite its ability to be violently stormy. Land on the other hand seems more subject to swings between extremes.
