Guardian - Live Coverage - Snowden is arguing that the US is
conducting an “unlawful campaign … to deny my right to seek and
enjoy ... asylum under Article 14 of the Universal Declaration
of Human Rights” by “threatening” countries around the world,
particularly in Latin America.

The New York Times reports today that the US is putting pressure
on countries across Latin America to try to ensure they do not
take Snowden in.
