NEW YORK (AFX) -- The American Petroleum Insitute said crude supplies rose by 2.6 million barrels in the latest week, after falling 1.9 million barrels the week earlier. Distillate stocks fell by 2.8 million barrels, while gasoline stocks were down 2.8 million stocks, the API said. Earlier, the Department of Energy reported a 1.3 million barrel rise in crude inventories, a 2.8 million barrel decline in distillates and a 300,000 decline in gasoline stocks
