That is because many in the media used up a bunch of ink and air time explaining why anti-missle defense was a waste of taxpayer money (funny how liberal projects are never "a waste of taxpayer money" even when they don't work) and would never work. To now focus on the fact that it not only works, but has been incredibly effective in doing so would mean they would have to admit that they were wrong. As much as many of us would like to see that, it ain't gonna happen.

Nor will we hear mea culpa's from all the naysayers who said that Saddam did not have WMD's, that the war would cause huge civilian devastation and deaths, that the military was incompetent and using a flawed plan, that we would incur huge casualty counts, and every thing else they have been whining about. Instead, they will pretend they never said those things and will find new things to carp about and accuse Bush of doing wrong to the detriment of the whole world.

Some things never change.
