I agree with you the SEC is needed in principle, however, because they are so poor at what they do, leaving 99% of promos alone and willy-nilly halting some, it would be best if they just did nothing and let the OTC govern itself. It is sad to say, but if someone is dumb enough to seriously buy into a promo and become a long, they deserve to lose their money (bag holders are driven by greed anyhow and are not exactly innocent; if they made money cashing out at the high, they would not complain). And for those of us who trade promos knowing they are scams (such as myself), we also deserve to lose our money; only problem is I keep making more and more so what am I suppose to do? I admit, I can't in any way justify my trading morally.

GL in your trading, and if you want to avoid scams, just stay away from the OTC and small cap big board tickers. As everyones mother should tell them, if something sounds too good to be true, it is not true.

If you want to continue trading the OTC - visit my board; I tell people how things really work in the intro and only make honest posts.

Every trades a winner, and every trades a loser, and the most you can hope for is to die in your sleep.
