Thanks for the link and the reminder. Yes, I have been predicting the final top in this secular bear to occur in this range for several years now. This last leg down in the secular bear that began in 2000 will be a real slaughter. You can see my Long Term Charts at http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/board.aspx?board_id=4503 Some are living proof that any idiot can be a bull. At the very top in 2000 you stated you were a lunatic bull and then at the very top in 2007 you stated the mother of all bull markets was just ahead of us. You were also calling for the epicenter of wave three up at the time. Isn't that exactly what you are saying now? Could you be dead wrong for the third time? A decades long perma bull such as yourself will have a pretty good record of being right over the long term. After all, you were bullish at the 2002 and 2009 bottoms. Since you are always bullish you will be right at every bottom. A very long term chart will show that the markets over time go up. As a perma bull you can point to the bullish moves of the past three decades as testaments to your analytical abilities. In reality any half wit who just remained bullish the entire time would have been just as right as you were. So congratulations, MR. Perma Bull, by just staying bullish decade after decade you have been right more often than not. You have taken the easy road that has required absolutely NO thought. It has worked well enough for you that you can say a person would be an idiot to ever be a bear. Of course IMO, to miss several 60% haircuts to the market in an ongoing secular bear market would take an idiot. The question here is a simple one. Does this Secular bear market have one more leg down OR did it end at 666 completing an ABC flat in 2009. As one who just remains bullish decade after decade, we all know your answer. For those of us who actually think it remains a question worth asking. IMO we are close to getting an answer. Here is my odds on favored bearish count. There is an alternate low odds bullish count that is extremely bullish. We shall see.
I am a Very Short Term SPY options trader. These very long term considerations have little effect on my actual trading.
