Do you think Kerry should be restricted in his use of certain phrases?

No one is restricting his word usage, although there are obviously extremists on both sides who will defend or attack his words to the extreme and say things like" Oh my, we have received death threats, isnt that just awful" and "lets impeach the bugger".

The question is whether the nation likes it. It is political. People/politics will decide whether it rings true.

"I think you need to stand back a little and look at what is going on. Try comparing the 70Billion tossed about in Iraq with a few guys in the desert with guns. "

Iraq has been siphoning off about 2 -3 billion a year since 1994/5 for defense purposes, at least 10 percent of the oil for food program comes back as defense money because of its use of middlemen and control of the food distribution by the regime/saddams family.Saddam has spent a pretty penny on defense. No arab nation respected the embargo any way and saddam shipped a lot of non/UN oil on little ships into the gulf

so 10 years by 2 billion is at leat 20 billion. then add that to all the capital improvements and spending prior to 92. And the extra cost of transportation for the US, in money terms its about the same, but I think this is a senseless argument. Are you saying the US spent too much or they didnt fight fair, or that of course the Iraqis cant resist or what?

The whole war is idiotic. Saddam is a despot who got 300 million to leave and wouldnt take the deal. Probably figured some guy would drop in one evening and remove his ability to spend the money. Did you listen to Mcallisters conference? its at the scotsman.com

A few guys in the desert: I suspect your use of words is meant to minimize this as a force. It also describes the Osama horde in Afganistan, do you mean that you are changing your mind and consider Afganistan cleared of problems?
