Re: PFE and TEVA?

>PFE a (former) Gorilla is in desperate need to strengthen its position as worlds Biggest Pharma. All their measures are insignificant, they have to enter a synergetic business.<

PFE does have one of the best late-stage pipelines in the business with Exubera, Sutent, and Indiplon. (However, they have to share revenues on two of these.)

I’m rather surprised you think PFE may opt to buy TEVA; for one thing, the cultural clash would seem to be astronomical.

Moreover, for what it would cost to acquire TEVA, PFE could buy a basket of mid-cap companies such as AGN and FRX or, if they wanted to go biotech, BIIB and either AGN or FRX. That seems a lot less risky than paying big bucks to get into something (generics) they don’t know that well. JMHO, FWIW
