EA says Q3, Q4 profit to be below forecasts

SAN FRANCISCO, Dec 20 (Reuters) - Top video game maker Electronic Arts (ERTS.O: Quote, Profile, Research) said on Tuesday it expects profit and revenue for the third and fourth fiscal quarters and fiscal 2006 to be "well below" its earlier estimates.
"Holiday sales are not meeting expectations," Chief Executive Larry Probst said in a statement. "For the December quarter, it is likely the industry will be down double digits on a percentage basis."
