through FS channels, i have learned that all 19 missing people are dead. I think it is going to be a long, long fire season. Extreme heat with very low humidity and high fuel loading means we are prime for lightning storms that overwhelm the suppression forces. Climatic turbulence is not the friend of people in the woods.
