Well if that article is anything to take into account (8 Billion settlement) then YES, well positioned to take on the other big banks and maybe jump at buying one of them out? or pay off there debt ! Nope,, thats not how banks think in this day and age.

When the time comes, BofA will be in the position to buy one of the other BIG banks that fall into stress! Just as all the other banks did in 2008 to get ahead. They see this time coming, and see a chance to take control... Mark my works. Thats there game plan. Not to pay off debt and increase shareholder value. The A/S tells the story here! 10 billion......
